"An oasis in the RV park desert of New England. Right off the highway; be careful not to pass it up. Very pleasant and helpful new owners. Small store. Clean, roomy, level, and fairly private site within the midst of the pine forest. Very pleasant. Security is good. Convenient to the nearest town, where there is good restaurant service and a Super Wal-Mart. Wi-Fi is centrally located, not at your site, and it's free. Good interior roads. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome."
Campers review from rvparkreviews.com (Oct 2011)

"We first noticed Timberland Campground on a return trip home from our hiking vacation in the White Mountains. Our first impression was that it looked well cared for and cozy. So, the next year, when it was time to plan our trip we chose Timberland as our place to bring our small travel trailer. We can say that our first impressions were correct and we were not disappointed in the least.
The sites offer privacy, have trees and are cozy. The campground is well maintained and the owners are most helpful if needed. The campground is close to Gorham, which we wanted, and Bethel which offers nice eateries etc.
We will certainly consider Timberland in the future and will recommend it to our friends. "

"We found Timberland Campground to be a great place to stay. Our site was wide and secluded by pine trees. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The laundry appliances were spotless and looked new. Our Verizon hotspot worked fine and the cable TV channels were very clear. And let's not forget about the owners. They went above and beyond any expectation of outstanding customer service. We had an accident that required emergency room service. He took us to the hospital (it was about 20 miles away) and picked us up after a 2 hour treatment. We'd return here any time we're in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer."

"Dave and Laurie, We did so enjoy your campground. We hadn't been back for about 15 years and we had fond memories of the place and it's surroundings - it didn't let us down! The beauty of your campgrounds, the peace and quiet, and the obvious pleasure your other campers got from staying there all added to our enjoyment. Both of you made such an effort to ensure all ran well that it adds to the security of using Timberlands for future visits. In addition, the attractions available in the surrounding area is a huge plus.

We were using an Rv and the sites were great for our needs.
We came away with plans to return in the future.
Hope the rest of your season is a good one. Thanks - Kathryn and Ken"

"Dear Dave & Laurie,
We found Timberland Campground on the internet when we were planning our vacation. We found Dave & Laurie very helpful with ideas and what there was to do in their area. They were always around to help you and so very friendly. Their recreation rooms were very clean and organized. They had all kinds of pamphlets for things to do, TV, internet service--very convenient. Very clean restrooms and a nice heated pool. The kids were fun to watch on the hayrides. We had a pop-up camper with plenty of room and trees in our campsite. We enjoyed our stay so much that before we even got home, we convinced our nephew from PA who already had motel reservations for the fall, to cancel them and rent one of Timberland's cabins. We hope to return in a couple of years--in the fall next time!"

"We have been seasonals for 6 years enjoy the large sites, nice people and an area of surrounding beauty"
Seasonal Camper review from Facebook

"We really love this campground because it is close to the White Mountains. Only about 16 miles, and also close to the Great North Woods. No matter which direction you go from here, it is beautiful. The campground itself caters to hikers that do the AT, and has a great wooded tent area. They also have an area of full hookups for the big guys, and another section for pop-ups and small trailers. This, combined with sparkling clean bathrooms, a pool, game room, volleyball court, and an adult recreation room make it just about perfect for everyone. Moose frequent the campground on occasion too."

"Another great New England campground. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had a burned out headlight and they were able to direct me to an auto supply shop."
Campers review from rvparking.com (Aug 2011)

"Timberland Campground's new owners are doing a terrific job of making this a welcoming and delightful place to spend a few days. Located very near the White Mountains National Forest, this campground is surrounded by beautiful scenery and picturesque villages. The campground itself is nicely wooded and very neat. Bathrooms and showers are kept scrupulously clean. Basic WiFi and cable TV allow you to stay in touch with the world if that's what you want. We loved listening to the trains that pass by the campground once or twice a day. This is one that we hope to revisit in the future. We camped here in a Travel Trailer."

"Agree wholeheartedly with the previous writer's comments, and want to add a few of our own. We found that we had very good reception with our Verizon wireless air card, as was the reception with our cell. We were scheduled in for four nights, but enjoyed the relaxing time in this campground so much that we stayed for another night. Not only did our surroundings relax us, but so did the new owners. Can't say enough for staff and their friendly, courteous, willing-to-help attitude. They were extremely friendly and helpful!! Both came out to wave goodbye as we left. They had much to do with our enjoying our great experience RVing in northern New Hampshire. We would, without a doubt, return. We camped here in a 40’ Motorhome."

"We stayed a month and renewed for a second month. What else can I say? The owners are dedicated to service and making the camper happy. Rate shown is the monthly rate to which add electricity. It is a long haul from TN but we expect to be back. We happily escaped the summer heat wave here. We camped here in a 38’ Fifth Wheel."

"This campground is under new ownership this year. While it has always been a relaxing, friendly place to camp, the new owners have already made improvements such as a new pirate ship playground, nightly hay rides, and a rental unit. Their enthusiasm and positive attitude make for a very pleasant camping experience. More upgrades, improvements, and activities are in their plans for next year. We look forward to coming back in 2011. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel."

"This campground just changed ownership and the new owners have really nice ideas for this beautiful campground. They already installed a new pirate ship playground for the kids and do a nightly hay wagon ride, which our kids really enjoyed. They are looking to add some cabins soon which we would definitely consider renting. We will return! Really pleasant stay! We camped here in a Travel Trailer."
